Hadith #227
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَلْجٍ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَةً مِنْ كَنْزِ الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي قَالَ قُلْ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

English Translation
Ahmad ibn Abd al-Malik narrated to us, he said Zuhayr narrated to us, he said Abu Balj Yahya ibn Abi Sulaym narrated to us, from Amr ibn Maymun, that he narrated to him, he said Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated to me, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'Verily Allah (عز وجل) will test you with something. He said: And it was something regarding the game animals — you take it with your hands and your spears. Allah wants to know who fears Him in the unseen.'
