حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ عَنِ الز

ُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ شَرُّ الطَّعَامِ طَعَامُ الْوَلِيمَةِ يُدْعَى لَهَا الْأَغْنِيَاءُ وَيُدْفَعُ عَنْهَا الْفُقَرَاءُ وَمَنْ تَرَكَ الدَّعْوَةَ فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ

English Translation

Affan narrated to us, Wuhayb narrated to us, al-Nu'man ibn Rashid narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: The worst of food is the food of a wedding feast to which the rich are invited and the poor are excluded. And whoever does not accept the invitation has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger.
