English Translation

Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from Aws ibn Khalid, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The child is attributed to the one on whose bed it is born, and the stone is for the fornicator.' And he said: 'Whoever claims to belong to a father other than his father, or a freed slave who claims a patron other than his patron — upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all the people. No obligatory or voluntary deed will be accepted from him.'
