English Translation
Affan narrated to us, he said Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from someone who heard Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Adam and Musa debated. Musa said: "O Adam, you are our father who disappointed us and expelled us from Paradise." Adam said: "O Musa, Allah chose you with His Speech and wrote the Torah for you with His Hand. Do you blame me for something that Allah decreed for me forty years before He created me?" So Adam prevailed over Musa.'
