Hadith #272
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَادِرُوا بِالْأَعْمَالِ سِتًّا طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ
مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا وَالدَّجَّالَ وَالدُّخَانَ وَدَابَّةَ الْأَرْضِ وَخُوَيْصَّةَ أَحَدِكُمْ وَأَمْرَ الْعَامَّةِ وَكَانَ قَتَادَةُ يَقُولُ إِذَا قَالَ وَأَمْرَ الْعَامَّةِ قَالَ أَيْ أَمْرُ السَّاعَةِ

English Translation
Affan narrated to us, he said Hammam narrated to us, he said Qatadah narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from Ziyad ibn Riyah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The earth will vomit out pillars of gold and silver. The killer will come and say: "For this I killed." The one who severed ties of kinship will say: "For this I severed ties." The thief will say: "For this my hand was cut off." Then they will leave it and will not take anything from it.'
