حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ أَبَا ه
ُرَيْرَةَ قَرَأَ إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ فَسَجَدَ قُلْتُ لِمَ أَرَاكَ سَجَدْتَ فِيهَا قَالَ لَوْ لَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْجُدُ فِيهَا مَا سَجَدْتُ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammam narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, from Abu Salamah, who said: I saw Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) recite Surah al-Inshiqaq and prostrate. I said: 'Why do I see you prostrating in it?' He said: 'Had I not seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrate in it, I would not have prostrated.'
