حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُس
َيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ بِكُلِّ حَسَنَةٍ عَشْرُ حَسَنَاتٍ إِلَى سَبْعِ مِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ إِلَى أَضْعَافٍ كَثِيرَةٍ وَالصَّوْمُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَالصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ مِنْ النَّارِ وَلَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ فَإِنْ جَهِلَ عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ جَاهِلٌ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us: 'Abd al-Warith narrated to us: 'Ali ibn Zayd informed us, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: 'Your Lord (عز وجل) says: O son of Adam, for every good deed there are ten good deeds up to seven hundred fold, up to many more folds. And fasting is for Me and I reward for it. Fasting is a shield from the Fire. The breath of the fasting person is more pleasant to Allah (عز وجل) than the fragrance of musk. If an ignorant person acts with ignorance toward one of you while he is fasting, let him say: I am fasting.'
