حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ قَاسِمُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ أَخْبَرَنِيهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا رَافِعٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي الْقِبْلَةِ قَالَ كَانَ يَقُولُ مَرَّةً فَحَتَّهَا قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ قُمْتُ فَحَتَّيْتُهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ أَيُحِبُّ أَحَد
ُكُمْ إِذَا كَانَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ أَنْ يُتَنَخَّعَ فِي وَجْهِهِ أَوْ يُبْزَقَ فِي وَجْهِهِ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَا يَبْزُقَنَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلَكِنْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ قَالَ بِثَوْبِهِ هَكَذَا

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, who said: Qasim ibn Mihran informed me, who said: I heard Abu Rafi' narrating from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), that the Prophet ﷺ saw phlegm on the wall facing the qiblah. He said — he used to say at times — he scraped it off. Then he said: I got up and scraped it off. Then he said: 'Would any of you like it if, while in prayer, someone spat in his face or blew mucus in his face? When any of you is in prayer, he should not spit in front of him or to his right, but to his left under his foot. If he cannot find a place, then into his garment like this.'
