English Translation
'Affan narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us, who said: 'Alqamah ibn Marthad informed me, who said: I heard Abu al-Rabi' narrating that he heard Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: 'Four things are from the Jahiliyyah that my ummah will not abandon: disparaging lineages, wailing over the dead, attributing rain to the stars saying "we were given rain by such-and-such star," and (saying) you bought a mangy camel and put it among a hundred camels and they all got mange — so who infected the first one?'
