Hadith #427
Arabic Text
وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يُبْغِضُ الْأَنْصَارَ رَجُلٌ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ سَلَكَتْ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَهُمْ أَوْ شِعْبَهُمْ الْأَنْصَارُ شِعَارِي وَالنَّاسُ دِثَارِي
English Translation
And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "No man who believes in Allah and the Last Day harbors hatred for the Ansar. Were it not for the Hijrah, I would have been a man of the Ansar. If the Ansar took a valley or a mountain path, I would take their valley or their mountain path. The Ansar are my inner garment and the people are my outer garment."
