حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْ

كُمْ بِهَذِهِ الْحَبَّةِ السَّوْدَاءِ فَإِنَّ فِيهَا شِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ إِلَّا السَّامَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا السَّامُ قَالَ الْمَوْتُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ وَيَعْلَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو مِثْلَهُ فِي الْحَبَّةِ السَّوْدَاءِ

English Translation

Yahya, who is Ibn Sa'id, narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn 'Amr narrated to us, he said: Abu Salamah narrated to us from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Hold fast to this black seed, for in it there is a cure for every disease except al-sam." They asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what is al-sam?" He said: "Death." Yazid ibn Harun and Ya'la also narrated the same from Muhammad ibn 'Amr regarding the black seed.
