حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ
عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَبِي قُلْتُ لِيَحْيَى كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ شُعْبَتَانِ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ لَا يَتْرُكُهُمَا النَّاسُ أَبَدًا النِّيَاحَةُ وَالطَّعْنُ فِي النَّسَبِ

English Translation
Yahya narrated to us from Ibn 'Ajlan, he said: Sa'id narrated to me from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) — and I heard my father narrating from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ. My father said: I asked Yahya: "Are both from the Prophet ﷺ?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Two traits of Jahiliyyah that people will never abandon: wailing over the dead and slandering lineage."
