حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تُنْ
كَحُ الْأَيِّمُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْمَرَ وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الْبِكْرُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْذَنَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَكَيْفَ إِذْنُهَا قَالَ أَنْ تَسْكُتَ

English Translation
'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us from Yahya, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: "The previously-married woman should not be married until she gives her consent, and the virgin should not be married until she gives her permission." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is her permission?" He said: "Her silence."
