English Translation
Yunus narrated to us, he said al-Mastur, meaning Ibn Abi Abbad, narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ja'far al-Makhzumi narrated to us, he said: A man met Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) while he was going around the Ka'bah and said: 'O Abu Hurayrah, I ask you by Allah, did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever wakes up in the state of janabah (major ritual impurity), there is no fasting for him"?' Abu Hurayrah said: 'By the Lord of this House, I did not say it. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said it — or Abu al-Qasim ﷺ said it. Whoever is in the state of janabah in the morning, he should not fast that day.'
