حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ ع
ُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ أَشْعَرُ كَلِمَةٍ قَالَتْهَا الْعَرَبُ قَوْلُ لَبِيدِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ أَلَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا خَلَا اللَّهَ بَاطِلُ

English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, who said: Sharik narrated to us from 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Umayr, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say upon the minbar: 'The most truthful word spoken by the Arabs is the saying of Labid ibn Rabi'ah: Indeed, everything besides Allah is falsehood.'
