English Translation

Waki' narrated to us, who said: Hammad narrated to us from Muhammad ibn Ziyad, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Leave me alone as long as I leave you alone. For those who came before you were destroyed only because of their excessive questioning and their disagreement with their prophets. When I command you with something, follow it as much as you are able. When I forbid you from something, avoid it.'
