Hadith #201
Arabic Text
وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ أَدْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلَةً مَنْ يَتَمَنَّى عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَيُقَالُ لَكَ ذَلِكَ وَمِثْلُهُ مَعَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ يُلَقَّنُ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَيُقَالُ لَكَ ذَلِكَ وَمِثْلُهُ مَعَهُ فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيُقَالُ لَكَ ذَلِكَ وَعَشَرَةُ أَمْثَالِهِ
English Translation
With the same chain of narration, he said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The lowest in rank among the people of Paradise is one who wishes upon Allah (عز وجل), and it is said to him: 'You shall have that and the like of it with it.' But he is prompted and it is said to him: 'Such-and-such,' and it is said: 'You shall have that and the like of it with it.'" Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "And it is said to him: 'You shall have that and ten times its like.'"
