Hadith #207

وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ قَالَ يَهُودِيٌّ بِسُوقِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَالَّذِي اصْطَفَى مُوسَى عَلَى الْبَشَرِ قَالَ فَلَطَمَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ تَقُولُ هَذَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِينَا قَالَ فَأَتَى الْيَهُودِيُّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ { وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِيهِ أُخْرَى فَإِذَا هُمْ قِيَامٌ يَنْظُرُونَ } قَالَ فَأَكُونُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ فَإِذَا مُوسَى آخِذٌ بِقَائِمَةٍ مِنْ قَوَائِمِ الْعَرْشِ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ قَبْلِي أَمْ كَانَ مِمَّنْ اسْتَثْنَى اللَّهُ وَمَنْ قَالَ أَنِّي خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى فَقَدْ كَذَبَ
English Translation
With the same chain of narration, he said: A Jew in the marketplace of Madinah said: "By the One who chose Musa over all mankind." A man from the Ansar slapped him and said: "You say this while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is among us?" The Jew went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "And the trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will fall dead, except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and behold, they will be standing, looking on." He said: "I will be the first to raise his head, and there will be Musa holding onto one of the legs of the Throne. I do not know whether he raised his head before me or was among those whom Allah exempted." And he said: "Whoever says that I am better than Yunus ibn Matta has lied."
