English Translation
Yahya narrated to us from 'Ubayd Allah, who said: Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id narrated to me from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: A man entered the mosque and prayed, then came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him. He ﷺ returned the greeting and said: 'Go back and pray, for you have not prayed.' He went back and did the same thing three times. Then the man said: 'By the One Who sent you with the truth, I do not know how to do better than this, so teach me.' He ﷺ said: 'When you stand for prayer, say the takbir, then recite whatever is easy for you from the Qur'an. Then bow until you are at ease in your bowing, then rise until you are standing straight. Then prostrate until you are at ease in your prostration, then rise until you are at ease sitting. Then do that throughout your entire prayer.'
