Hadith #225
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ وَيَزِيدُ قَالَا أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ لَمْ يَدَعْ قَوْلَ الزُّورِ وَالْعَمَلَ بِهِ وَالْجَهْلَ فَلَيْسَ لِلَّهِ حَاجَةٌ أَنْ يَدَعَ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ
English Translation
Hajjaj and Yazid narrated to us, they said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b informed us, from Sa'id al-Maqburi, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ: "Whoever does not give up false speech, acting upon it, and ignorance, then Allah has no need for him to give up his food and drink."
