English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: I heard al-'Ala' narrating from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: "The sun does not rise on a day nor set on one better — or greater — than the day of Friday. Every creature dreads the day of Friday except these two weighty beings: the jinn and mankind. At every gate, there are two angels recording the first arrivals, like a man who offers a camel, and like a man who offers a cow, and like a man who offers a sheep, and like a man who offers a bird, and like a man who offers an egg. When the imam sits, the scrolls are rolled up."
