حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبَّاسٍ يَعْنِ
ي الْجُرَيْرِيَّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عُثْمَانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي بِثَلَاثٍ الْوَتْرِ قَبْلَ النَّوْمِ وَرَكْعَتَيْ الضُّحَى وَصَوْمِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ

English Translation
Muhammad narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us; and Abu Dawud said: Shu'bah informed us, from 'Abbas, meaning al-Jurayri, who said: I heard Abu 'Uthman narrating from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: "My close friend (khalili, the Prophet ﷺ) advised me with three things: praying Witr before sleeping, praying two rak'ahs of Duha, and fasting three days of every month."
