English Translation

I read to 'Abd al-Rahman: Malik, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When the call to prayer is made, Shaytan turns and flees, passing wind loudly so that he does not hear the adhan. When the call is finished, he comes back. When the iqamah is called, he turns and flees again, passing wind loudly so that he does not hear the adhan. When the iqamah is finished, he comes back and whispers between a man and his soul, saying 'Remember such-and-such, remember such-and-such' — things he was not remembering — until the man does not know how many rak'ahs he has prayed."
