حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَمِسْعَرٍ عَنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ الْجُمَحِيِّ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَقَالَ مِسْعَرٌ أَظُنُّهُ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ مَرُّوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ
سَلَّمَ بِجِنَازَةٍ فَأَثْنَوْا عَلَيْهَا خَيْرًا فَقَالَ وَجَبَتْ ثُمَّ مَرُّوا عَلَيْهِ بِجِنَازَةٍ فَأَثْنَوْا عَلَيْهَا شَرًّا فَقَالَ وَجَبَتْ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا وَجَبَتْ قَالَ بَعْضُكُمْ شُهَدَاءُ عَلَى بَعْضٍ

English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated: "A funeral passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the people praised the deceased with good. He said: 'It is confirmed (wajabat).' Then another funeral passed and they spoke ill of the deceased. He said: 'It is confirmed.' They asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, what is confirmed?' He said: 'You are witnesses of Allah upon the earth. Some of you are witnesses over others.'"
