English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated: "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ met me while I was in a state of janabah (ritual impurity) on one of the streets of al-Madinah. I slipped away and went to bathe, then came back. He asked: 'Where were you?' I said: 'You met me while I was in a state of janabah, and I did not want to sit with you without being in a state of purity.' He said: 'Indeed, the Muslim does not become impure (najis).'"
