Hadith #52

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الشِّغَا
رِ قَالَ وَالشِّغَارُ أَنْ يَقُولَ الرَّجُلُ زَوِّجْنِي ابْنَتَكَ وَأُزَوِّجُكَ ابْنَتِي أَوْ زَوِّجْنِي أُخْتَكَ وَأُزَوِّجُكَ أُخْتِي قَالَ وَنَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْغَرَرِ وَعَنْ الْحَصَاةِ

English Translation
Ibn Numayr narrated to us, who said: 'Ubayd Allah narrated to us from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited shighar marriage.' He said: 'Shighar is when a man says: Marry me your daughter and I will marry you my daughter, or: Marry me your sister and I will marry you my sister.' He also said: 'And he prohibited the sale involving uncertainty (bay' al-gharar) and the sale by throwing pebbles (bay' al-hasah).'
