حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَيَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا بِلَالُ حَدِّثْنِي بِأَرْجَ
ى عَمَلٍ عَمِلْتَهُ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ عِنْدَكَ مَنْفَعَةً فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ اللَّيْلَةَ خَشْفَ نَعْلَيْكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ مَا عَمِلْتُ عَمَلًا فِي الْإِسْلَامِ أَرْجَى عِنْدِي مَنْفَعَةً إِلَّا أَنِّي لَمْ أَتَطَهَّرْ طُهُورًا تَامًّا فِي سَاعَةٍ مِنْ لَيْلٍ أَوْ نَهَارٍ إِلَّا صَلَّيْتُ بِذَلِكَ الطُّهُورِ مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لِي أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ

English Translation
Ibn Numayr narrated to us, who said: Abu Hayyan narrated to us from Abu Zur'ah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'O Bilal, tell me about the most hopeful deed you have done in Islam that you expect benefit from, for I heard the rustling of your sandals ahead of me in Paradise tonight.' Bilal (رضي الله عنه) said: 'I have not done any deed in Islam more hopeful to me of benefit than that I have never performed a complete purification at any hour of night or day except that I prayed with that purification whatever Allah had decreed for me to pray.'
