حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ يَح
ْيَى وَرُبَّمَا ذَكَرَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَتَقَرَّبُ الْعَبْدُ إِلَيَّ شِبْرًا إِلَّا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعًا وَلَا يَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيَّ ذِرَاعًا إِلَّا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ بَاعًا أَوْ بُوعًا
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us from Sulayman al-Taymi, from Anas, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) — Yahya said: and sometimes he mentioned the Prophet ﷺ — who said: 'A servant does not draw near to Me by a hand-span except that I draw near to him by a cubit, and he does not draw near to Me by a cubit except that I draw near to him by a fathom.'
