حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي الْأَشْعَثُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أ
َبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أُمَّةٌ مِنْ الْأُمَمِ فُقِدَتْ فَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ الْفَأْرُ هِيَ أَمْ لَا أَلَا تَرَى أَنَّهَا إِذَا وُضِعَ لَهَا أَلْبَانُ الْإِبِلِ لَمْ تَطْعَمْهُ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, al-Ash'ath narrated to me, from Muhammad, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'A nation from the nations was lost, and Allah knows best — perhaps the mice are them. Do you not see that when they are given camel milk, they do not drink it, and when they are given sheep milk, they drink it?'
