English Translation
Yazid narrated to us, and Muhammad informed us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'People are like mines, like mines of gold and silver. The best of them in the pre-Islamic period are the best of them in Islam, when they gain understanding of the religion. And the souls are marshaled troops; those that recognize one another will be in harmony, and those that do not recognize one another will be in discord.'
