English Translation

Hajjaj narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us, al-Ala ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, from Ibn Darrah, the freed slave of Uthman, who said: We were at al-Baqi with Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) when he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever follows a funeral procession and prays over it, then returns, has one qirat of reward. And whoever follows it and stays until burial, has two qirats of reward.' It was asked: 'What are the two qirats?' He said: 'Like two great mountains.'
