حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ أَبِي هُ
رَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَيْسَ الْمِسْكِينُ بِالطَّوَّافِ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ تُطْعِمُوهُ لُقْمَةً لُقْمَةً إِنَّمَا الْمِسْكِينُ الْمُتَعَفِّفُ الَّذِي لَا يَسْأَلُ النَّاسَ إِلْحَافًا

English Translation
Yazid narrated to us, Ibn Abi Dhi'b informed us, from Abu al-Walid, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'The truly needy person is not the one who goes around to people, who is sent away with a morsel or two, or a date or two. Rather, the truly needy is the one who does not find enough to sustain him, yet does not ask people, and people do not notice him to give him charity.'
