‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَزِيدُ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏هِشَامٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ امْرَأَةً دَخَلَتْ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَمْ تَدَعْهَا تُصِيبُ مِنْ ‏ ‏خَشَاشِ ‏ ‏الْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تَسْقِهَا حَتَّى مَاتَتْ ‏

English Translation

Yazid narrated to us, Hisham informed us, from Muhammad, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ: that a woman entered the Fire because of a cat she had tied up. She did not feed it, nor did she let it eat from the insects of the earth, until it died.
