English Translation
Yazid narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah informed us, from Asim ibn Abi al-Najud, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed Allah (عز وجل) said: I have divided the prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, and My servant will have what he asks for. When the servant says: Al-hamdu lillahi Rabb al-alamin—Allah says: My servant has praised Me. When he says: Al-Rahman al-Rahim—Allah says: My servant has extolled Me. When he says: Maliki yawm al-din—Allah says: My servant has glorified Me. When he says: Iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'in—Allah says: This is between Me and My servant, and My servant will have what he asks for.'
