English Translation
Yazid narrated to us, Hammam ibn Yahya informed us, from Qatadah, from Abd al-Rahman, the freed slave of Umm Burthun, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed a person may speak a word pleasing to Allah that he does not think much of, yet Allah raises him degrees because of it. And indeed a person may speak a word displeasing to Allah that he does not think much of, yet because of it he falls into Hellfire.'
