Hadith #390

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ
وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ وَهُمْ يَذْكُرُونَ الْكَمْأَةَ قَالُوا تُرَاهَا جُدَرِيَّ الْأَرْضِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْكَمْأَةُ مِنْ الْمَنِّ وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ وَالْعَجْوَةُ مِنْ الْجَنَّةِ وَهِيَ شِفَاءٌ مِنْ السُّمِّ

English Translation
Abu Dawud narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), that the Prophet ﷺ came out upon his companions while they were discussing the major sins. He said: 'The seven destructive sins.' They said: 'What are they, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Associating partners with Allah (shirk), sorcery, killing a soul that Allah has forbidden except by right, consuming usury (riba), consuming the wealth of orphans, fleeing on the day of battle, and slandering chaste believing women who are unaware.'
