حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَخْضَرِ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ

الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرُ يَوْمٍ طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ فِيهِ خُلِقَ آدَمُ وَفِيهِ أُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَفِيهِ أُخْرِجَ مِنْهَا

English Translation

Rawh narrated to us, Salih ibn Abi al-Akhdar narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, from Abd al-Rahman al-A'raj, that he heard Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When the imam says: Sami' Allahu liman hamidah (Allah hears the one who praises Him), say: Allahumma Rabbana wa laka al-hamd (O Allah, our Lord, to You be the praise). For whoever's saying coincides with the saying of the angels, his past sins will be forgiven.'
