حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَب
ِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَقَدَّمُوا قَبْلَ رَمَضَانَ بِصَوْمِ يَوْمٍ أَوْ يَوْمَيْنِ إِلَّا رَجُلًا كَانَ يَصُومُ صِيَامًا فَيَصِلُهُ بِهِ

English Translation
Rawh narrated to us, Hisham ibn Abi Abdullah and Husayn ibn Dhakwan narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not precede the Jews and the Christians with the greeting (salam). And if you meet one of them on a road, force him to the narrower part.'
