حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَسُرَيْجٌ الْمَعْنَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَطَ
اءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ مَثَلُ خَامَةِ الزَّرْعِ مِنْ حَيْثُ انْتَهَى الرِّيحُ كَفَتْهَا فَإِذَا سَكَنَتْ اعْتَدَلَتْ وَكَذَلِكَ مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ يَتَكَفَّأُ بِالْبَلَاءِ وَمَثَلُ الْكَافِرِ مَثَلُ الْأَرْزَةِ صَمَّاءُ مُعْتَدِلَةٌ يَقْصِمُهَا اللَّهُ إِذَا شَاءَ

English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'While a man was walking on a road, he found a thorny branch on the way and removed it. Allah thanked him for that and forgave him.' He also said: 'The martyrs are five: the one who dies of plague, the one who dies of a stomach disease, the one who drowns, the one who is killed by a falling building, and the martyr in the cause of Allah.'
