Hadith #85
Arabic Text
قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ مَوْلَى الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَرَأَ لَهُمْ إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ فَسَجَدَ فِيهَا فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ أَخْبَرَهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَجَدَ فِيهَا
English Translation
He (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that i recited to 'Abd al-Rahman: Malik, from 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid, the freed slave of al-Aswad ibn Sufyan, from Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, that Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) recited to them Surah al-Inshiqaq (84) and prostrated during it. When he finished, he informed them that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrated during it.
