English Translation

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri who said: 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdullah informed me that Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ narrated to us a lengthy hadith about the Dajjal. Among what he narrated to us was: 'He will come and it will be forbidden for him to enter the mountain passes of Madinah. So he will stop at one of the salt marshes near Madinah. A man will come out to him who is the best of people — or among the best of people — and will say: I testify that you are the Dajjal about whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us. The Dajjal will say: If I kill this one and then bring him back to life, would you have any doubt about the matter? They will say: No. So he will kill him and then bring him back to life. When he brings him back, the man will say: By Allah, I have never had more insight about you than I have now. The Dajjal will want to kill him again but will not be able to.'
