حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِي
ِّ قَالَ افْتَخَرَ أَهْلُ الْإِبِلِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ السَّكِينَةُ وَالْوَقَارُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلَاءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْإِبِلِ

English Translation
Surayj ibn al-Nu'man narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj, from 'Atiyyah ibn Sa'd, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) who said: The people of camels boasted in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the people of sheep were humbled. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Pride and arrogance are in the people of camels, and tranquility and dignity are in the people of sheep.'
