حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ كُنَّا نُرْزَقُ تَمْرَ الْجَمْعِ وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ تَمْرٌ مِنْ تَمْرِ الْجَم

ْعِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَبِيعُ الصَّاعَيْنِ بِالصَّاعِ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَا صَاعَيْ تَمْرٍ بِصَاعٍ وَلَا صَاعَيْ حِنْطَةٍ بِصَاعٍ وَلَا دِرْهَمَيْنِ بِدِرْهَمٍ

English Translation

'Abd al-Malik narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us — and Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Hisham informed us — from Yahya, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) who said: We used to be given mixed dates (tamr al-jam'), which was a mixture of dates. We would sell two sa's of it for one sa'. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'No two sa's for one sa', and no two dirhams for one dirham.'
