English Translation

'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, Malik narrated to us, from Dawud ibn al-Husayn, from Abu Sufyan, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited al-muzabanah and al-muhaqalah. Al-muzabanah is buying dates on the tree with dried dates, and al-muhaqalah is buying standing grain with wheat [on the ground].
