حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْمُزَابَنَةِ وَالْمُحَاقَلَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ اشْتِرَاءُ الثَّمَرَةِ فِي رُءُوسِ النَّخْلِ بِالتَّمْرِ كَيْلًا وَالْمُحَاقَلَةُ فِي كِرَاءِ الْأَرْضِ
English Translation
'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, Malik narrated to us, from Dawud ibn al-Husayn, from Abu Sufyan, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited al-muzabanah and al-muhaqalah. Al-muzabanah is buying dates on the tree with dried dates, and al-muhaqalah is buying standing grain with wheat [on the ground].
