English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Qatadah and Sa'id al-Jurayri, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Hospitality is for three days, and his jaizah [gift due to a guest] is one day and one night. And it is not permissible for a Muslim to stay with his brother until he causes him to sin.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how would he cause him to sin?' He said: 'He stays with him while he has nothing to offer him.'
