English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Mahdi ibn Maymun narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Sirin narrated to us, from Ma'bad ibn Sirin, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'A caller will call on the Day of Resurrection: Let every ummah follow what it used to worship. Then there will remain none who used to worship idols, stones, or anything other than Allah except that they will fall into the Fire. Then there will remain none but those who used to worship Allah — both the righteous and the sinful — and the remnants of the People of the Book. Then the Jews will be called and it will be said to them: What did you worship? They will say: We worshipped 'Uzayr the son of Allah. It will be said: You lie. Allah did not take a wife or a son. What do you want? They will say: We are thirsty, O our Lord, give us drink. So they will be directed — will you not go and drink? — and they will be gathered to the Fire, which will appear to them like a mirage, consuming one another. Then they will fall into the Fire. Then the Christians will be called and it will be said: What did you worship? They will say: We worshipped al-Masih [Christ] the son of Allah. It will be said: You lie. Allah did not take a wife or a son. What do you want? They will say the same as the first. Then this ummah will remain, including its hypocrites.'
