English Translation

'Affan narrated to us, Aban narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, he said: Abu Nadrah narrated to me that Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) narrated to him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not sell gold for gold, silver for silver, wheat for wheat, barley for barley, dates for dates, or salt for salt except like for like, equally, hand to hand. Whoever gives more or takes more has engaged in riba; both the giver and the taker are equal [in sin].'
