Hadith #211

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ خَرَجْ
نَا مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ نَصْرُخُ بِالْحَجِّ صُرَاخًا فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً إِلَّا مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ الْهَدْيُ فَلَمَّا كَانَ عَشِيَّةُ التَّرْوِيَةِ أَهْلَلْنَا بِالْحَجِّ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, Dawud narrated to us, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id (رضي الله عنه) who said: We left Madinah loudly proclaiming the Hajj. When we arrived in Makkah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to make it an 'Umrah, except for those who had brought a sacrificial animal. So we did, and we went to our wives and wore perfume. Then we were commanded to resume ihram for Hajj [on the eighth of Dhul Hijjah].
