Abdul-Wahhab ibn Abd al-Majid narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Anas ibn Sirin, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to visit Umm Sulaym and she would offer him dates and ghee. She had an orphan named Anas. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would see him and say to him: "O Abu 'Umayr, what happened to the little bird [nughayr]?" — referring to a small bird he used to play with.
