English Translation
Ibn Abi 'Adiyy and Suhayl ibn Yusuf — the meaning being the same — narrated from Humayd, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: The prayer was established, and a man came running. When he reached the row, he was out of breath and panting. When he joined them, he said: 'All praise is to Allah, abundant praise, good and blessed.' When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer, he said: 'Which of you said those words?' The people fell silent. He said: 'Which of you said those words? For he said nothing wrong.' The man said: 'I came and I was out of breath, so I said them.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'I saw twelve angels racing to see which of them would raise it first.'
